
Julia Marchese
Julia Marchese is a filmmaker, actor, writer, podcaster, host, film programmer and cinephile.
Star of both stage and screen, Julia has performed in many plays & films, including Full Moon’s “Delta Delta Die”, Joe Dante’s “Burying the Ex” and the upcoming films “There’s a Zombie Outside”, “Grind” and Troma’s “Positive Power of Murder”, directed by Lloyd Kaufman. Julia programmed films & hosted dozens of Q&A’s at the New Beverly Cinema, and in 2016 released her first film, Out of Print, a documentary about the importance of revival cinema & 35mm to culture. The film has played all over the world & the 35mm print of the film is now housed at The Academy Film Archives and available to stream on many platforms.
She recently adapted Stephen King’s short story “I Know What You Need” into an award winning film, which was shot on location at the University of Maine, and played in many festivals, including San Diego Comic Con 2024 and the inaugural KingCon in Las Vegas. She is also a host on three popular podcasts – Horror Movie Survival Guide, The Loser’s Club & JodoWOWsky.
